Dealer Week Q&A for Granfort Boats

To become a dealer, you must commit to purchasing at least four boats per year. This ensures consistent inventory to serve your market and effectively represent the brand.

Granfort carefully analyzes competitor pricing and sets a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) that provides a 35% margin for dealers. This margin gives you ample room for hard negotiations while maintaining strong profitability.

  • Accessory Selection: Start by choosing your boat model, engine type, accessories, and hull color. Our team is here to provide full support, helping you understand boat specifications and select all factory-installed customized options to perfectly match your needs.
    • Production and Shipment Timeline:
      • Production begins three months after the 5% deposit.
      • Shipment occurs approximately four months from order placement.
    • Payment Options:
  1. Standard Plan:
  • 5% deposit at order.
  • 15% payment before shipment.
  • Remaining balance financed through our Fire Plan or a financial company of your choice (pre-approval required).

2. Credit Insurance Plan (Brazil):

  • 50% payment before shipment.
  • Remaining 50% payment due 180 days after shipment (no interest rates)
  • Included Costs: Import taxes, shipping fees, and dock fees.
  • Excluded Costs: Port handling and internal logistics to your dealership.
  • We ship to your port of preference under the CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) incoterm, covering transportation to the destination port, import taxes, and documentation.

Yes, all boats are:

  • ABYC-certified to meet American Boat and Yacht Council standards.
  • Fully compliant with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
  • Equipped with catalyzed engines adhering to U.S. emissions standards.

Our warranty includes:

  • 10 years for structural components.
  • 1 year for factory-installed add-ons considered part of the boat, such as hull modifications, cabinetry, or built-in seating.
  • Exclusions: Equipment requiring maintenance, like engines, generators, and screens, are covered by their respective manufacturers’ warranties.

Dealer Responsibilities:
Dealers act as liaisons between customers and:

  • Technicians: For warranty issues related to equipment (e.g., engines, AC, generators, screens).
  • Factory: For components such as upholstery, fiberglass, and construction-related matters.

A region is defined as a 50-mile radius around your dealership, ensuring exclusive market access within your area. Granfort will mediate to resolve disputes if customers cross territories and provide opportunities for dealers to apply for additional territories based on performance.

  • Dealer training resources covering product knowledge and sales techniques.

  • Factory Welcome Trip: Dealers are invited to visit the factory for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, fully covered by Granfort Boats. This trip provides valuable insights into the production process and strengthens the dealer’s connection with the brand.
  • Volume Discounts: Additional discounts are offered based on the number of boats planned in your annual order commitment, rewarding higher-volume partnerships.
  • Claim Submission: Warranty claims can be submitted through our dedicated online portal.
  • Response Time: Dealers receive responses within 48 hours of claim submission, ensuring quick resolution.
  • Parts Replacement: Replacement parts for approved claims are shipped promptly to minimize customer downtime.
  • Customer Support Coordination: Our team assists dealers in managing complex customer issues, offering direct factory support when needed.
  • Partnerships with Lenders: We collaborate with trusted financial institutions to provide financing solutions tailored to boat buyers.
  • Dealer-Led Financing: Granfort assists in setting up partnerships with local banks to expand financing options for customers.

  • Conflict Resolution: Granfort mediates to ensure fair practices if customers cross territories.
  • Expansion Opportunities: Dealers who exceed sales expectations may apply for additional territories, subject to availability and performance reviews.
  • Sales Targets: Dealers are expected to meet the minimum order requirement of four boats per year.
  • Non-Compliance: If a dealer fails to meet the minimum requirement, a performance review will be conducted to identify challenges and provide support for improvement.
  • Surveys and Check-ins: Regular surveys and one-on-one check-ins ensure your input is heard and incorporated into product and process improvements.
  • Collaborative Development: Dealer feedback plays a crucial role in shaping new product designs and enhancing our business practices.
